So I just sat for the virtual open house last night and obtained some valuable information.
Science GPA Weight
For Science GPA, they weigh your best Math, best Biology, best Chemistry, and Microbiology grades. This is interesting for those looking to retake classes/need to fulfill prerequisite classes.
Shadowing
For shadowing experiences, 8 hrs minimum is required and you are also not required to use their template to document the shadowing experience(s). As long as you have a spread sheet with the date, number of hours completed, the CRNA/MD name and contact information along with a signature, you are good to go.
Letters of Recommendation
2 letters of recommendation from a Nurse manager/Director with the second being from an APP, medical director, or attending physician that could speak for your clinical acumen.
Program Format
The most unique thing about the program is that Fairfield University has 2 campuses in TX and CT. Despite this, both cohorts run synchronously throughout he program in a blended in-person and hybrid fashion. There are professors that are solely based in either TX or CT and based on your location, they will either be lecturing in-person or virtually via Zoom. DNP core courses will be asynchronous over years 2-3.
Tuition
Tuition for 2028 Cohort is a fixed $126,000 divided over 9 semesters
